I Heart Macro

I really really Heart Macro, I have so much fun getting up close and personal with flowers and bugs and whatever appears to have interesting texture to show off. Today I'm sharing a bud to a flower that I don't know the name of. I've been watching it form for awhile knowing at some point I'd have to take a close up shot, today was the day. I think maybe tomorrow they will pop open!! They are so cute right now, like little bubbles full of air.

I also wanted to share the flower of the Allium flower, not quite out of it's shell, it almost looks like it has a little Fairy Cap on it's head.

And lastly, my white Lavender, so pretty! Actually more of a very soft pink.

New Roses

We stopped by the Farmer's Market in Lake Forest Park this past weekend and of all the things at this wonderful market I ended up bringing home 3 amazing Rose Bushes. There was so much wonderful fresh produce but I am fortunate enough to live extremely close to a wonderful market that has fresh local fruits and veggies every day. So I resisted them, but these Rose Bushes caught me!!

The first is SunSprite, I specifically asked for the most fragrant one and this is the one they showed me. And fragrant it certainly is!! AND GORGEOUS!! I love Yellow Roses anyway so I was happy to bring this one home.

Next is Blue Bayou, it's really a very very blue lavender and soooo pretty and unusual!! I only got one good picture but it is a very good picture!!

The last one is also a stunner, unfortunately the tag is no longer on it. I'm going to search for the pot and see if the name is on it. I always like to keep the tags on until I know I'll remember the names. It's another  lavender flower but rather than leaning towards blue it leans towards pink/red, just different enough from Blue Bayou that I couldn't resist it.

Bead Cap Palooza!!!

Bead caps have taken over the Universe!! Well not quite but I made alot of the little buggers!! They are a bit of a pain to make, lots of cleaning and filing for each little one. But I made a couple of sets recently and then really enjoyed using one of them and sold the other with a request for more so..... I made more! I'll probably get these listed in my Etsy Shop tonight but feel free to drop me a note if you want to reserve one of the sets.

Hopefully I can get some pictures with some natural light, none to speak of this rainy morning.

"Moses supposes his toeses are Roses,

But Moses supposes Erroneously,

Moses he knowses his toeses aren't roses,

As Moses supposes his toeses to be!

I don't know why this came to my brain when I was posting the photos but I'm glad I added it. From one of my all time favorite movies Singin in the Rain with Donald O'Commor and Gene Kelly!  I hope you enjoy it!

Forest Floor Challenge

This is my entry in Humblebeads Forest Floor Challenge. The forest is full of wildlife including snakes so I've used my Copper Snakeskin Components paired with fantastic Lampwork beads by BeadAbundant. I think the beautiful earthiness of these earrings fit the challenge.
