White Copper OH YA!!

I couldn't be more excited to have found the newest Metal Clay, White Copper. You all know how I love Copper and I really like this White Copper too. I use Silver every now and again but the cost is out of line for me, I have to list things at a higher price than I'd like and higher than most of you out there are willing to pay. To me this White Copper is a good alternative. It looks and feels like regular Copprclay until it's fired and then it's like beautiful Antiqued Silver or even Pewter.

Here they are side by side

White Copper Clay on the left and regular Copprclay on the right.
I marked the outside of the package just to be sure I would remember which was which.

Once fired the resemblance vanishes!

This was my first test batch. Since then I've done an entire load of just White Copper.

Some new pieces and some of my favorites pulled out of the "vault" for use in White Copper.
I'm feverishly working to get them all listed, I've got a good chunk of them ready to go but I'm about to go blind from editing pictures. I'll have them all listed by tomorrow morning!

I created a new section in my shop just for these new White Copper pieces.
Click HERE to see what I have listed so far and check back tomorrow for the rest.

  1. This looks great Kristi - I've been pestering my clay supplier about it but It'll probably be a while before we get our hands on it over here sadly.

    1. I have no idea what the difference is, it's made by the same company that makes Copprclay. They had to have tweeked the mix somehow. I like it, I do know that!!

  6. Yes, I think I'm going to have to get a couple of these and incorporate them into some of my pearl cross bracelet designs, Kristi! My hubby makes re-purposed pewter crosses, skulls and peace signs for me, hand pouring the melted pewter into some original molds he makes, but I really like yours, too!! Very cool indeed!!

  8. Love the pendants, both the designs and colour! And interesting to see how a copper brown clay material turns into white metal when fired.

Only wish I could love the material too as the colour is so nice, but after finding out it contains nickel it's hard (BTW, you might want to consider mention that for any european costumers you have/get as it'd be illegal for them to sell jewellery with nickel in it in/from EU countries). But on the other hand that's not a big issue as I can drool over the designs in gorgeous copper clay instead and copper is, after all, my one true love (followed by bronze, brass, pewter and steel). :-)

    1. I included all the information about the Nickel Content and the EU regulations in each listing. I didn't even know about the restrictions until somebody told me about them after I had made and listed all the items. I hope I've done all that I need to do to inform anybody who might purchase White Copper.
