It's been quite a week at my feeder!
I recently shared my first sighting of the Black-Headed Grosbeak,
then I finally started seeing the female!!
Isn't she a beauty!
Then...
Yesterday I saw flashes of bright yellow fly past the window,
so I rushed to the camera to see this stunning Goldfinch pair sharing a meal at the feeder!
And if that wasn't enough...
I snapped a few pictures of this little round one,
it wasn't until I started editing that I saw the yellow on the top of the head,
I believe this is a Yellow Crowned Sparrow!!!
I couldn't be more excited to see 3 new birds at my feeders in one week!!
I can't wait to see what this week brings!
Good series!
ReplyDeleteYour bird photos are such a treat. I adore our feathered friends :)
ReplyDeleteThree new birds in a week ... how lucky is that? My spring starts out with a mob of bully birds at my feeders, so the beautiful little song birds don't show up until they are gone. I can't wait! (though, I secretly love my bully birds too):)

ReplyDeleteAll beautiful shots! The goldfinch is truly a gorgeous creature....it is so unfair that the males get all the gorgeous coloring...just like the cardinals!
ReplyDeleteThree new birds at your feeder is really great. I especially like the Goldfinches.

ReplyDeleteI too love watching the birds in the backyard and it is amazing when you get to see the pics, all the details that the eyes can miss! That sparrow is so cool, so plump and those eyes! Great shots!
