My first attempt at making jewelry since having foot surgery. It took me most of the day working in short 10-15 minute bits, then elevating my foot so it won't swell.
It's actually a re-structuring of a necklace I made last year, but I turned up the volume quite a bit I think by adding beautiful Carved Carnelian Barrel beads I purchased at the NW Bead Bazaar last weekend and little brass spacers between each Ryolite Heishi giving it much more fluidity of movement.
I can't tackle the stairs so was unable to use my favorite area to take photos which is my greenhouse, so I had to set something up by a window and hope for the best.
I love this shot because the light hit the Carnelian just right and looks like they have light coming from within.
I also added 2 Unikite rounds to hold the pendant centered along the Heishi. I think the colors of these 3 stones play very nicely together.
Here are the Carnelian Earrings I made to coordinate.
Feels good to play with beads again!!
