Got all the beads listed other than the black cinnabar which they didn't have, brown either. I accidently got pink freshwater pear rather than white, didn't realize until I got home and couldn't go back. I added beautiful smooth carnelian barrels and tiny brass spacers.
The white chain was my biggest challenge, I've been playing with that right up until the last minute and think I figured it out to my satisfaction. I really wanted to post this last night but I'm glad I didn't because I'm really glad I made the last minute changes, then I just had to wait for the light this morning to take new pictures.
Thanks to all who participated and to Lorelei for letting us all join in the fun. Take a look at all the other works of art created, each one really quite different than the next, it's amazing.

I think I've lost track of where I've hopped to but if I haven't been here those orange beads are a gorgeous additon!Happy Sunday : )
ReplyDeleteBeautiful! I love how you used the chain. It seemed to be the most challenging part for most of us. Thank you for sharing! :)
ReplyDeleteOh, I love what you did here. The carnelian works wonderfully with these colors. The asymmetrical beaded strand is nicely balanced and looks great! Love what you did with the chain and how you put that together and tied it in! Great piece!
ReplyDeleteLove the double strands and your design. Very nice!!
ReplyDeletethe orange beads are a lovely addition makes this piece pop. nice handling of the DWChain.
ReplyDeleteKristi, lovely necklace, kudos on the chain design! Thanks for posting all of the participants. The challenge is a true testiment to the individuality of each artisan and they all have a new fan. Plan to return, read, learn, and comment...this may take awhile, lol!

awesome! I like how this turned out. I am so surprised at all the people that added red tones to their pieces, I think it's a fabulous color addition to what I picked out! Thanks so much for playing along!
ReplyDeleteLove the red stones and the way you used the chain. I thought of adding red at one point, but could not make it work.
ReplyDeleteBeautiful piece. I love the red added in.
ReplyDeleteI love what you did with the chain and the addition of the red beads!
ReplyDeleteThe carnelian is such a nice pop! I would love to see how this looks on, I think the chain must drape beautifully :)
ReplyDeleteOh goodness. . .the way you used the chain is so cool!!
ReplyDeleteI like the multistrand chain, and the carnelian really makes the jade pop!
ReplyDeletePretty! The carnelian is a lovely addition! And I think you've done a great job with the white chain - really unique.
ReplyDeletelove how you handled the chain, and the carnelian!
ReplyDeleteCarnelian is one of my favorite stones and yet, somehow I didn't even think of adding it to my necklace--what's up with that? I love how it makes your necklace come alive. Also your treatment of the chain is unique and lovely!
ReplyDeleteI don't think it's simple! It's very elegant; I love how you webbed the enameled chain like that, very pretty effect! This is a piece an artist would wear, for sure. Very lovely! Those carnelian-colored tubes are so gorgeous with the color scheme. :D
ReplyDeleteSo pretty! I love your design!
ReplyDeleteLOVE the addition of the carnelian... I thought it needed a little pop too, but the orange...wow!! Love your design and will add your facebook page to Elysian Studios favorites (plus I'll be a blog follower!!)Great job!
ReplyDeleteI love the punch of red! Great job, everything looks great together. :)
ReplyDeleteI went with a pop of red in mine too. That chain was a bit of stretch for me, especially given the creaminess of the carved cinnabar and the pearls. Love how you used it!
ReplyDeleteEnjoy the day!
Erin
The carnelian really added to the colors! I like what you did very much!
ReplyDeleteWhat a luscious piece! That little bit of carnelian really POPS and gives it a sort of retro-mod feeling with the white chain. Nicely done!
ReplyDeletethe orangey red carnelian changes the whole mood. a really different take w/just that simple addition. nice.
ReplyDeleteThe carnelian makes it come to life ~ Beautiful necklace!
ReplyDeleteWhat a beautiful design - those carneliean beads add just the right pop of color, and the white chain work you did looks fantastic - great job!
ReplyDeleteBeautiful necklace! And those carnelian, why, they're luscious! They truly finish this piece. Wasn't this fun?
ReplyDeleteKristi, I love the combination of the carnelian with Lorelei's choices. And the way you employed the chain is inspired. Your necklace is beautimous!!!
ReplyDeleteBeautiful piece! We both thought of adding the red, I thought it complemented it well too.
