Say Goodbye Say Hello

Hard to believe 2013 is coming to an end very soon!!
The technique I played with in 2013 is not really a technique but a medium. I have been wanting to jump in to Polymer clay for a couple of years, I finally did it this year.

I started with mostly painting these flowers and starfish with Alcohol Inks.

then I moved on to mixing color combinations
and of course I had to start using Ammonite and Sea Urchin
textures which have been a favorite of mine using PMC since I began in 2008.

Had fun with my Wonky Bead Blog hop!

Wonky Bead Blog Hop REVEAL

The links are still active so you can still see the wonderful creations that were made
 using these Wonky Beads.

I can't say I have anything specific I want to learn in 2014,
I just want to continue expanding my Polymer Clay techniques and continue working with Copper.
I want to play more with my own textures using
 Photo Polymer Plates
 and my Sillhouette Cameo Machine.

Thank you all for coming along on this ride with me and I hope to continue with the fun in 2014!

Not so Naked Polymer Clay

This is a follow up to yesterday's post where I shared completely Naked Polymer Clay pieces.
Today I'm sharing some of my favorites nearly finished.
Gilders Paste/Wax was used to color all these pieces.

Whatever I don't sell at the show this coming weekend you'll see in my shop soon after.
Even if I sell them I'll remake some of my favorites.

Naked Polymer Clay

Today is the last full day I get to play in my studio before the
NW Bead Society Bazaar this coming weekend.

Yesterday I worked mostly on Polymer Clay and here they are in their naked unfinished state.

Drops in lost of colors and textures

They will look so different once they are painted or stained or whatever I end up doing with them today.
No matter what I'll be getting my hands dirty!

Beads!
I used a different technique on these beads, a little less Wonky and more consistent.
Can't wait to see them finished!

Headpins

Focals
 I love the black ammonite!

Large Drops
I hope you can join me for the show and see what all these pieces look like when I finish them.

AJE Earrings Challenge Reveal 18 weeks 37-38

I'm playing catch up a little bit on this reveal.
I know I'm behind, no idea how much so I'll just keep plugging away,
if I make 52 that's cool if not that's ok too.

I have 5 pair to show you this time, I seemed to be really in to using fiber this time around because 3 of my earrings have fiber accents on them.

Lavandula
These Lavandula earrings start with amazing Lampies by Jen Cameron of Glass Addictions. I added a pair of my Polymer Clay Sea Urchin discs and a big of Fiber wrapped in copper.

Blue Jean Baby

These Blue Jean Baby earrings start with wonderful Glass Headpins by Diane of Sowzere then I stacked some Turquoise Sari Silk a colorful Greek Ceramic bead a glass bead and a pop or red with a little Czech glass bead like the cherry on top!

Burgundy and Brass
I made these Poppy drops in Burgundy start this next pair off, then I scrounged around my stash for the perfect rustic Brass bead and another touch of Sari Silk to finish these Burgundy and Brass Earrings.

Industrialized
Super cool Electroformed Lampwork beads by Leah of BeadsOfPassion sandwiched between some earthy Czech glass beads and Mesh Dangle in Copper that I made finish this very raw Industrialized pair of earrings.

Autumnal
Polymer Clay Headpins stacked with amazing HavanaBeads Lampries and topped with a pair of my Leafy Polymer Discs. Perfect for our coming in to the fall season.

All 5 pair are available in my Etsy shop.

Scarabs

This morning I sat down and created a few Scarabs in Polymer Clay,
I know lots of you out there love them as much as I do.
I'm happy with them as my first efforts but hope to do better. My wish is to get a few (or more) that I'm very happy with and make molds of them. Right now I'm creating each one individually, carving and creating the shape and texture from scratch. Then using Gilder's Paste to color them.

I also tried my hand at an Arrowhead, that needs more work before I'm prepared to share.

Earring Challenge Reveal 15, Weeks 31-32/52

Here we are well over half way through the year and more earrings to share!

I've been fixated with Polymer Clay lately and these feature big Wonky Turquoise Sea Urchin Discs and little wood textured discs.

Sky on Fire

I tried to stretch my use of color by using Purple, Orange and blue in these Sky On Fire Earrings,
I think they are very funky and fun.
Amazing dripping headpins by Numinosity and my Polymer Clay Purple Wood Textured Tubes.

Both pair are available in my Etsy Shop!

Time to start making earrings for Reveal 16 Weeks 33-34/52

Please hop around and see what the other artists have created for this weeks reveal.

Obsessed

So I've been Obsessed with Wonky beads for awhile, I'm trying to go back to my Cocoon Obsession.

I don't think these are quite where I want them to be but they are close.
Still just a little too.....pretty!
I have some gilders paste on order and I think that might be what I need to finish them!

I also made another pair of Sinkers, these in Turquoise and Fuschia!

New Tubes in the works as well, I'll share them soon!!

The End!

Textile Beads

I've had a thing for wood texture blocks for quite some time. I dug out my collection and went to town with Polymer Clay and made these beads. I think they are so pretty and hope you do too!
Here are a few of the blocks I have in my collection and the beads I made with them.
