Focusing on Life - Week 24: Green

I just happen to have lots of beautiful Green in my yard, here are a couple of my favorites!

First 2 pictures of an amazing Hosta I have in my yard, just after it was watered.
Can't resist water droplets!!

Next the tips of our Christmas Tree, you heard it right.
We have our live Christmas Tree that's in a pot and we transfer it up to our deck in front of sliding glass doors and decorate it at Christmas time.
I just love the soft green of the new growth on the tips!

Thanks to Sally of The Studio Sublime for her Focusing on Life challenge of which I am hopelessly behind.
Not even going to try to catch up but I'll join in when I can.

Focusing on Life - Monochromatic

This week the theme of Focusing on Life photography challenge is

Monochromatic

I actually didn't think I was going to have a post this week but I happened to spot the dried out heads on my Hydrangea bush and it hit me this was the perfect photo op.
These are the same Hydrangea I shared a couple of weeks ago when our focus was on
that was spring, this is winter and they are both wonderful!!

Focusing on Life Week 2 ~Your Word~

So much going on the last few years lately I feel overwhelmed and don't always get the most important stuff done. More often than not I feel like I'm spinning my wheels

My biggest priority for the last few months (ok most of 2012) has been to
put away, organize and inventory my beads,
tax time is almost here and I keep putting it off!

I did do much better at some of my other least favorite jobs last year, such as keeping track of expenses and receipts and that sort of thing, huge improvement there.
BUT
I'm almost embarassed to show you just a small part of my bead table but I'm sure I'm not alone.

Focusing on Life Self Portrait

So much going on in life I somewhat reluctantly joined in the
Focusing on Life 52 week photo challenge hosted by Sally Russick.

The first challenge is a tough one and I think just about everybody would agree. Very few of us like to be in front of the camera and taking a Self Portrait is not easy.

I kind of like this one cause it has a very cheeky mischievious look to it and I had to play with it in pic monkey to minimize the things I didn't like about it.
So I focused on my eye looking right at the camera.
As far as cropping I didn't need to, this is the exact shot that came from my camera, I was just holding the camera at arms length and clicking and this was really the only useable shot I got.

And when I was playing I came across this effect that I thought was cool so I'll share it too.
