Labyrinths revealed, AJE December Component of the Month

This month's Component of the Month is an awesom Labyrinth piece from Jenny Davies Reazor.

Unfortunately I wasn't able to finish mine, I love the look but it's not mechanically sound yet. I woke up at 3am this morning with an idea of how to do just that so if you have a chance to stop by later today or tomorrow I hope to have a much improved piece.

I'm going to make more wire tubes to connect the focal to the wire and make it more mechanically sound, I'll improve on the connection of the smaller wire spiral to the larger one as well and add another set to finish the bracelet.

I decided to post the unfinished bracelet because I know we all go through this process, sometimes very frustrating when it doesn't work quite the way we want but we persevere!!!

Here is my first re-vamped connection,
I love the look but let me tell you it's not going together easily!!
Definitely a journey in to the Labyrinth lol!

  4. Oh! I am in love. With the copper and turquoise together. With the Greek spiral. I for one always respect and appreciate seeing work in progress. And since we are talking labyrinths: It IS the journey not the destination. ( Had to say it) Thank you Kristi for such a gorgeous idea! I look forward to seeing what happens...

  7. The idea to echo the labyrinth with spiral links is just so cool, Kristi! It is so frustrating when we struggle to make an idea in the mind become reality. Thank you for posting your work in progress.

  8. I know all too well that frustration of envisioning a piece then not having it come together in the right way. I do like this idea, a great way to echo and emphasize the patterns in that piece. Hope it works out. Looks like it is going to be a long process to get it wrapped like that but it will be well worth it.

  11. Oh, I love this design! And of course I'm wondering if you are thinking of making a square with a labyrinth design on it to go with this...that would look awesome! I'll be back to see the finished design. :)

  12. I had trouble too when trying to make a bracelet. I ended up quitting and going for a necklace. You on the other hand, should keep going with this because it will be amazing!

  14. Let me say first I knew this focal would be awesome in a bracelet but I didn't have the skills to get it there... So I'm so excited seeing what you have in the works, it really is going to end up awesome. I love the slight taper, it will be very nice on

  15. I do like your square coils. Thank you for showing your bracelet part made - it's good for the rest of us to see that we're not the only ones to get stuck from time to time!
