New Copper

First let me say Happy Mother's Day to all of you out there. We had breakfast with my Mom yesterday and will be spending today with my husband's family for his Mom. Hope everyone has a lovely day!

Here's some pics of the Copper pieces I plan to list later today, we'll see how much I can get done after a busy day!

A Variation of Victorian Inspired pieces you've seen before.

Large Copper Heart with Key Hold

Large Open Flower

Fish Bones (he's smiling!)

Angel Wings, molded from a shell

Adorable little Owl, such a cutie

Shell Pendant, love the soft swirls.

Another Shell, I love using shells as molds!

Similar to the Bronze Shell I made recently, this one in Copper.

Look for all or at least some of these in my Etsy Shop later today and throughout the week, if you don't see something come up please ask me and I'll get it done for you.

My Day Off

Well...I didn't stay in my PJ's and make jewelry until afternoon like I planned. But I had a good time.

Started the morning unloading my kiln of Bronze and was THRILLED with the Bronze Shell I made (see yesterday's blog post)...and sold!! I look forward to seeing what Erin Prais-Hints of Tesori Trovati creates with it! I'm going to be making more of these beauties and some other shells I've molded.

Then I went out and did a few errands, such a busy weekend coming up I thought I'd better get these necessities out of the way. When I came home there were goodies in the mail box, I received some new Lampwork Beads I've been eagerly awaiting, below are my first purchase from BB Glass Art
Periwinkle Pebbles!

Ultramarine Pebbles

Pacific Prisms

Then this afternoon I played a little bit with some torch fire enameling beads, a little better than my last effort but still not quite there. I'm so looking forward to the class I'm taking with Barbara Lewis at Portland Art and Soul in a few months!! These are 2 of my more successfully of today's attempts, love that color!!

And I also tried my hand at making enamel head pins, not too bad!

Bronze Shell

I'm feverishly trying to put the finishing touches on bronze pieces so I can get them in the kiln before I go to bed. I wanted to share my first attempt at making a larger very lifelike shell. The tip actually broke off when I was cleaning it up but I managed to put it back on and it survived further filing so I hope it's ok.

Here's the shell, the mold and the unfired bronze piece, it'll be fired tonight so I'll let you know how it turns out!

BTW and New Earrings and Lampies

Here we are again! This morning I'm beginning a few pre-orders, certain pieces seems to be favorites out there and I understand why. The Paisley Squares are so pretty and the Victorian Inspired Drops which started in Silver look spectacular in Bronze and I look forward to trying them in Copper soon.

Not very impressive in this state but I've got lots of work to do on them and
in a couple of days they'll look spectacular!

They'll dry while I'm at work today and then it's time for sanding etc etc...they'll look like this!

Now I have to share my most recent purchase

Spectacular Lampwork beads by Ellen Dooley, somehow I only just discovered her shop, above are the Teal Garden and they are absolutely gorgeous!

Above are Ocean Tidepool Nuggets...oh ya!!!

Above are my freebies!!! Love those freebies, I know I will use these too!

These are my most recent creation called Brass Ring, although they are copper lol. I liked the name so I'm sticking with it! Next time I will actually use brass! Listed in my Artfire Shop.

I guess that's it for today, thanks for taking a look! And please go look at what everybody else is up to on this Bead Table Wednesday on Flickr!

New Earrings and New Earrings Cards

Still a bit of a work in progress but I'm quite satisfied with my new earring cards. Initially I wanted to have them designed and printed and I probably will still do that but right now that seemed more trouble than it was worth so this is the result. All my business card information is on the flip side of the cards.

I'm also showcasing 2 new pair of earrings on these new cards so take a closer look at them in my Etsy Shop if you like.

I found a simple stamp that I liked and a Metalic Trio inkpad which I thought fit my work quite well. The cards are also hanging from my new (old) shutters, they work great!!

These are adorable little Bronze Sea Urchin Flowers dangling from Chrysophrase Slabs, very beachy!

If you've been waiting for these, I'll be listing at least one pair tonight so watch for it.

I Heart Macro

This is my first try at joining in the I Heart Macro fun!! There is a petting zoo just a few blocks from where I live and I've been meaning to go down and get pictures of the baby sheep and little pygmy goats and I did get pics of them but for this post I'm focusing on the Peacocks, we can hear the Peacocks "MEOW" at our house. It was fantastic to get right up on them and get fantastic super close ups of their feathers.

I'm not sure what the rules are but I have lots more than 1 picture, I'll start with the super close up and then share the others as well. ENJOY!
