BTW new Copper

It's been a long time since I've done Bead Table Wednesday,
I have some new copper in the works so thought it was a perfect time to join in!

Here are some new pieces that I'm cleaning tonight and getting ready for a weekend firing.

I love this combination of Tapestry texture and Ammonite/Sea Urchin,
I think you all liked them too so I made some more!

Here are the Deco Feathers in the shape of a Shard.
These are going to be awesome!

New Ammonite Bails!

More ammonite, these are 3 hole drops!

And yet more Ammonite, can I interest you in some rectangles?

Thanks for taking a look!

Copper House and More BTW

I love this house, I'm looking forward to seeing it fired!
All these pieces I'm sharing today have yet to be cleaned up so don't mind the rough edges.

Some leaf shapes in a variety of textures.
Tribal Paisley, Imperial Garden and Sea Urchin.

Love these little love tags, also a pair that says cute!
I can see them as earrings or as hangtags on the end of bracelet or earrings closures.

Winged Things, large Bracelet focals

Triangles in Paisley

Here's the triangles with 5 holes across the bottom, oh the possibilities!

Hoping to fire this weekend if not before as usual.

BTW End Caps

I've been playing with End Caps,
a technique I've seen clay artisans use and I'm trying to modify it to work for CoppeClay.

They all still need finishing touches but I'm happy with them,
I'm getting more consistent pairs but they still retain the roughness I like in my work!

I'm working on filling the kiln and as usual hope to have it ready to fire Friday
so come back and check and see what they look like all finished!

Escutcheon Love BTW

My latest obsession!

Since I'm obsessed I really need to learn how to spell Escutcheon without having to look it up every time!

es·cutch·eon noun \is-ˈkə-chən\

Definition of ESCUTCHEON

1: a defined area on which armorial bearings are displayed and which usually consists of a shield

2: a protective or ornamental plate or flange (as around a keyhole)

3: the part of a ship's stern on which the name is displayed

I'm making molds of all these wonderful ornamental Vintage Key Holes and making them in to Copper Components.

One of my favorites almost cleaned and ready to fire.

I'll share the results once they are all fired.
I still have alot of pieces to make to fill up my kiln so it will probably be at least a week.

BTW Paper

Today it's not so much about beads it's about paper. I'm down to my last little handmade envelope that I package my components in so this morning I need to cut and fold as many as I can before I head off to work. I love paper, there are some absolutely gorgeous papers out there these days.
Not the best picture, my battery ran out after only one shot this morning so this was it!

I just received a little Sizzix embossing machine yesterday,
I'll be playing with it and experimenting with some new little additions to my packaging.

BTW

Today I'm showing the most recent Copper components I've created,
 I know it's such a surprise huh?! :)

The torch is being very good to me, these photos really don't capture the colors well. I need more natural light. I think I'm going to take most of this to work today and take photos in the middle of the day, if we get any good daylight. I've heard today is not a good day for daylight but you never know.

These will be listed by the weekend if not sooner.

Check out what the other Artisans have on their Bead Table today.

BTW Makers Mark

Yesterday I received my very first Maker's Mark Stamp from Metalclays.com.
I'm so excited I had to make something this morning just so I could use it.
I actually woke up with an idea so I made several things,
I hope they turn out as I envisioned when fired.
They haven't been cleaned at all, just shaped cut and dried,
lots of filing to do before they get put in the kiln.

I want to thank Lori Plyler of StudioWaterstone for helping me fine tune my design,
I think it's so cute!!!
She's also making some new banners for me,
hope to have those up and running in the next few weeks.

BTW Sept 14 11

For Bead Table Wednesday I'm going to share some of my newest beads. The other major thing I've got going on is my Bead Soup and I can't show you that! The reveal is on Saturday the 17th, not far away.

I'll start with these amazing Raku Beads from Wonderous Strange Designs

Next I have 2 sets of Clay beads from Bohoulley Beads through the Beads of Clay shop.

Some of you may recognize the purple beads above because the day I received them I paired them with the amazing Lampwork Headpins from Raida and made this pair of earrings that are listed in my Etsy Shop.

BTW Bronze Ammonite and Moonstone Pendant

I totally lost track of what day it was!!  I was reading one of my favorite blogs this morning and it said BTW I was shocked, I didn't realize it was Wednesday. So I'm home from work and took a pic of what's been on my bead table (other tham PMC components) for a little while. I actually was waiting to find some wonderful Moonstones (which just arrived yesterday) to combine with the White Turquoise nuggets I already had and string this awesome Bronze Ammonite and Moonstone pendant. I think I've finally got what I've been wanting and hope to get a chance to put it together soon.

You can also see in the background some wonderful Clay Beads
I just received from ChelleV2, they are fantastic!!

Check out the other creative people and see what's on their Bead Table

BTW Sea Urchin

Making a nice assortment of Sea Urchin components in lots of shapes and sizes,
bordering on Sea Urchin Palooza I think!
Along with the usual Snakeskin and Ammonite etc etc...

Shooting to fire it all tonight, just a little more clean up to do,
add a couple of bails make holes in the bead caps....
We'll see if I get them in the kiln tonight.

Check out what everybody else is up to this Wednesday on

Bead Table Wednesday

It's shocking I know, but I'm going to share some of my Copper Work in Progress, I've always got copper going at some stage so it only makes sense to share it. But don't miss my newest stone beads at the end.

As usual re-stocking the shop, some special and pre-orders and a few new. This time I have some larger Sea Urchins in somewhat of a free form shape and a Large Ammonite piece that I envision as a bracelet but it could easily be a pendant with a place to put a fun dangle. I have lots and lots of cleaning and filing to do to it all but I'm shooting for a possible Thursday night firing.

I love taking pictures of beads, so much fun!

From the center there is Natural Golden Coral Rounds, then Barrel shape Mexican Turquoise, a strand of yummy Red Bamboo Coral, Howlite Heishi and last but not least beautiful Green Yellow Howlite.
These beads were purchased from ExcellentGem, very happy with what I received and they were nice and cooperative sellers. I added the Green Yellow Howlite in at the last moment before shipping.
