Ready for the Kiln

Which means another shop update tomorrow.

 Shapes and textures I've used before but a couple of different combinations.

These will all be fired tonight.

The 2 sets of crosses above are a sized down version,

 I'm really excited to see how they turn out!

 Wonderful earring pair that I'm guessing will be about .75" when fired.

Above, 2 sets of Sea Urchin pair,

both Sea Urchin but each texture is totally different, 

again good size but slightly smaller great for earrings. 

Above, large pendant size Sea Urchin that I've made before so tomorrow I will re-list them.

Texture and shape we've seen before,

 but I've never put them together.

Both seem to be popular so I think they will be a hit.

Another shape I've used many times with an Ammonite texture.

I'll be interested to see how they turn out.

New Shape

I had a special request to make a cross in this shape
 and I really love how it turned out.

 She wanted it in the Paisley and I should have made 2 with that texture

 because of course the one I made cracked.

 Just a small crack but it's big enough! 

I did make another in a different texture that I hope she likes.

I'll be making more of them because I really think they turned out so beautiful.

If anybody out there wants one just let me know and I'll make one just for you!!

Playing with my Light Box

Living in the Pacific NW and being sun challenged much of the year I figured I needed to break out my light box once again because sun breaks will be fewer and fewer as the days bring us in to fall and winter. I've never been all that happy with the photos I've been able to take in it but I'm playing with positioning the lights and which backgrounds work well, and where to put them within the box all that and I'm actually coming up with some that I am fairly happy with.

Here are a few examples of items soon to be listed in my Etsy Shop.

In all these photos I'm using one of my big

 old Wood Texture Blocks to prop them up and I'm loving that!!

I'll always choose photograghing in actual sunlight

 but I'm happy to have an alternative I can live with.

Silver Silver Silver

Got most of the new Silver pieces listed. Silver is so expensive I remember why I don't use it much any more and fortunately I love Copper.
But these pieces are gorgeous, for the most part what seem to be the favorite shapes and textures.

I Heart Macro Hydrangea

When we moved in to this house about 2 years ago I thought this Hydrangea was a gonner, it just looked like a bunch of dead sticks coming out of the ground. But I started trimming it and could see there was still life there so tended to it and tried to bring it back to life. Then when I saw these incredible blooms I was hooked, and this year it actually has alot of leaves as well and you can hardly see the branches. Even though my hubby (not a gardener by any stretch) kept telling me to just cut it down, I don't give up on plants easily and in many cases I am happily rewarded.

I Heart Macro Clematis

Most of these pictures were taken a few weeks ago when my white Clematis was in full bloom. I'm going to start with the most recent picture of the what I guess is the seed head, they are amazing and they change even more so in the next few weeks I'll they will be a new I Heart Macro feature they are extremely cool! Then I'll be sharing a number of photos of the flowers at their prime, amazingly beautiful, perfect flowers for macro shots.

 looks like it will be white even though in this photo it has a yellow tone.
