Experiment in Black Results

The other day I showed you some experiments I was working on, covering Polymer Clay pieces with black letting them dry and then sanding, HERE is what they looked like before.

and here is the first pair after sanding.

Don't love them don't hate them, I actually like them better the more I play with them.
So when I work on the others maybe I'll figure some things out along the way.
What do you think?

While I have you here I'll show you some other things I'm working on.
These were mean to be smaller versions of the Cocoons I've been working on but as I was working on them I thought they looked like little bullets so I think that might be what they become.
Above you see them in Tribal, Snakeskin and Sea Urchin, I also have similar ones where I've done them in the headpin version.
What do you think?

I'm fairly sure I'm going to use these but I have another pair in the pipeline.

Scratch Foam Results

Here are the results.
I took them out of the kiln while they were very hot which gave them a much different look than I've been doing lately, I rather like it and think I'll do it more often.
That said...if anybody wants them tumbled and torched I can certainly do that with any of these pieces.
They are certainly very rustic this way, just a little bit of brushing to get the carbon off.

These will become toggles when I get a chance to make the other end of them.
Those Owls turned out so cute don't you think?

Assorted rounds, pendants, earrings pair and toggles.

Lovin the hearts!!!!!

This weeks new Copper

Let me just start by saying I LOVE these new pieces,
I'll try to only say it this one time and not when I talk about each piece.
It's so much fun to always be thinking of new things to make,
 new shapes new textures,
tweeking something old so it's different and fresh!!

These Owls fit in the NEW category,
you know how I feel about them so I won't say the L word again.

Not a new Shape or Texture but this time I put Ammonite in Leaf Shapes
Fabulous!!

Again a shape and texture you've seen before but I put them together.
Large Ammonite Button

Another shot of the Ammonite Leaves.

Tribal Texture in Large Button!!!
This is one of the first textures I made and I'm happy you all seem to like it as much as I do!

A grouping of the Big Buttons,
Ammonite and Tribal.
One of my lovely customers suggested using the Tribal Texture in this shape and I think it's amazing!

It's still pretty early in the morning and I wasn't sure the early dawn filtered sun would give me anything I could use but after lightening them a little I can't complain.
I'll take more pictures later and get some of these listed over the weekend.

As usual if you want something let me know and I'll reserve it just for you!

I had to stop myself so many times from using the L word,
I did good!!
