Featuring Cilla of TellYourGirlFriends

Cilla is a neighbor of mine, well a distant ok very distant neighbor. She lives North of me across the border in Canada. Not that far away really. Cilla does beautiful work and enters many of the challenges that I do on Art Bead Scene and Love My Art Jewelry. I believe it's probably through these challenges that we met.

Cilla has a shop on Etsy and her BLOG as well.
Be sure to visit her and favorites and comments are always welcome I'm sure.
Now for some Eye Candy!!!
Enjoy!

BTW August 10 11

This is the piece I was working on for the Inspired by Lillies challenge but once again I didn't get it finished in time, heck it still isn't finished. But I love what I did so far and I will finish it.
Just too much going on right now YIKES!!!

It's got 2 Copper 3 hole connectors I made with a very pretty and subtle lilly design on them, a wonderful variety of orange beads, lampwork, fire agate, jade plus wonderful bronze and gold colors from Czech Glass Beads. I plan on making my own copper connectors and probably using some kind of cording or silk to finish it.

I Heart Macro Clematis

Most of these pictures were taken a few weeks ago when my white Clematis was in full bloom. I'm going to start with the most recent picture of the what I guess is the seed head, they are amazing and they change even more so in the next few weeks I'll they will be a new I Heart Macro feature they are extremely cool! Then I'll be sharing a number of photos of the flowers at their prime, amazingly beautiful, perfect flowers for macro shots.

Don't miss the very last few pictures, it is that amazing Balloon Flower
that was the subject of last weeks I Heart Macro.

Almost ready for the kiln and some beads too

Still a little bit of cleaning up to do on all these new copper pieces but I'm close, I've been working all week on these. My goal is to have the kiln going by the time I go to bed tonight. I'm doing some re-stocking of favorites plus lots of new. Some large pendants in this batch and the pieces I plan to use in the
 Inspired by Tiger Lillies challenge.

I also purchased some very cool wood and other beads at JoAnn fabrics, see them at the end of this post.

New Large pendants.

A new texture I'm really loving, you'll see more of it!

Stained Glass texture in a new design.

My inspired by Tiger Lillies Pieces.

Beads from Joann, look at those great shapes in the wood beads
and the faceted "stone" looks like turquoise but marked as stone
and way too expensive but I couldn't resist it. The polished stone at the bottom
is no slacker either, I think it's Jasper of some kind.

Oh ya!!

So please check back throughout the weekend
and I'll be listing lots of this new Copper in my Etsy Shop

Featuring Catherine Waterhouse of ShadowDogDesigns

This week I'm happy to introduce to you Catherine Waterhouse of ShadowDogDesigns. She is another one of my wonderful new friends I met online. She was one of the first to know my secret plan to make and sell components and she was a great encouragement to me. I will always appreciate it very much.

Lots of eye candy to come but please be sure to check out her work on Artfire at ShadowDogDesigns she also does a wonderful blog on Artfire and is very active on her FaceBook Fan Page

Now enjoy the show and share some love for Catherine's beautiful work.

BTW Ammonite Pendant

This week I'm going to show you a work in progress, I'm making a rather substantial Copper Ammonite pendant with a nice large bail. I'm still putting the finishing touches on it and hope to fire it by the weekend, along with all the other stuff I've been working on since my last firing. It's got a perfect little spot in the center to tuck a stone in to, I can't fire it in place of course so I might try to put one in after, we shall see.

Here it's leaning on the Ammonite I took a mold of to make this piece.

Check out the other BTW participants on Flickr and see what they are creating this week.
