I Heart Macro - Poppy Kiss

I love I heart macro and I missed last week and almost missed this week, I can't believe that!!

Love this funny little face the poppy seed pod is making,
can you say Little Shop of Horrors lol!
I've never seen one that wasn't perfectly rouhD1

Gorgeous Penstemon, I love this color!!

And beautiful Foxglove,

Love my Lavender!!
There's a color them going on here I only noticed when I started loading photos.
Totally unintentional but I like it!

A different kind of Lavender,
every time I see a variety I don't have I snatch it up.

Amazingly gorgeous Hosta bloom,
it was really foggy this morning and being in the shade
it still has lovely droplets of water on it!

Another Hosta flower

Yummy Rose!

Gorgeous Fuschia!!

And just as I was finishing up this post I saw this lovely flitting around at my flower baskets,
so I went outside and chased him around for a few minutes until I got a decent photo.

I hope you enjoyed today's garden tour,
take a look at all the other Macro photograghy.

  1. really wonderful series...the first is definitely my favorite:-)

  2. I think I'd like to be a fairy (or at least a butterfly!) living in your beautiful garden. :)

  3. Your poppy kiss totally cracked me up! "Pucker up now!" lol
Your hosta blooms were esp. gorgeous shots. Nice job on all, Kristi!

  4. Wow, that one hosta closeup is phenomenal (the big one)!!! I would blow it up, frame it and hang it on the wall. That is ART my dear!!

  5. Beautiful, all of them! The hostas with the tiny waterdrops are my favorites.

  6. You are surrounded by some awesome colors! Love the first picture the best!

  7. They're all so pretty. Maybe lavender is something that I need to give a try. Thanks for sharing all your gorgeous photos from your garden!!

  8. These are all gorgeous. There's something about that foxglove though that really calls out to me. . .such a neat shape! I don't think I've ever actually seen any in these parts. Very cool.

  9. The first one IS from the shop of horrors! LOL. All nice shots. :-)
