Sorbet

Who doesn't love Sorbet!!

I think these colors are definitely Sorbet colors.

Pistachio, Lemon, Vanilla, Orange and Raspberry.

All drizzled in Chocolate sauce!

I've listed a few sets and I haven't decided how I'm going to break the rest of them,

 I've been putting them in sets of 4-5 with a variety of colors.

 Does anybody them broken in to pairs of one color?

That's always the first thing I want to do but I've been trying to change it up a bit.

I think I've done enough of these, now on to something new!

Trying something new this time with Polymer Clay, nice big chunky colorful beads.

Playing with Purple

I know being St Patricks day the color O the day should be green
 but I've been mixing some of my alcohol inks for more than just straight primary colors
 I've used so far.
 Don't get me wrong I am happy with how the bright bold saturated colors but feel the need to experiment further.

Purple is one of my favorite colors so I mixed it with a little white to get lovely Lavender.

Flower Headpins in Lavender and Purple.

Ammonite Headpins in Purple

Bullets, one pair of Tribal Texture in Lavender

and a pair of Ammonite and Snakeskin in Natural or Faux Bone.

One thing I've been wondering lately, how do you display headpins at a show.

I have one coming up in just over a month and I have no idea how I'm going to do it.

I've thought about putting them by pair in individual bags and then upright in a box so they can be picked through but I think I want to find a way so they can be seen without having to work at it.

Anybody have an idea, have experience with this, I'd love to hear it!

Experiment in Black Results

The other day I showed you some experiments I was working on, covering Polymer Clay pieces with black letting them dry and then sanding, HERE is what they looked like before.

and here is the first pair after sanding.

Don't love them don't hate them, I actually like them better the more I play with them.

 So when I work on the others maybe I'll figure some things out along the way.

What do you think?

While I have you here I'll show you some other things I'm working on. 

These were mean to be smaller versions of the Cocoons I've been working on but as I was working on them I thought they looked like little bullets so I think that might be what they become.

Above you see them in Tribal, Snakeskin and Sea Urchin, I also have similar ones where I've done them in the headpin version.

What do you think?

I'm fairly sure I'm going to use these but I have another pair in the pipeline.

Experimenting with Black

This is the first time I've covered some of my Polymer Clay Cocoons with black and let it dry.
 I've used burnt umber many times but I always wipe most of it off before it dries.

There's lots of bright color under there, you can see it poking through the blackness

So now I'm breaking out the sandpaper and going to town.

Tune in tomorrow and see the transformation, I hope they are very cool!!
